BLOCKCHAINS AND THE NEW WORLD ORDER

ABSTRACT:

Apart from bitcoin and altcoins, what will blockchain bring us? What is the significance of this new technology for our society? Is it another internet? Can we expect as radical a change in our lives as internet has created?

These and other tough questions will be -attempted to be- answered by Cemil Şinasi Türün, a leading expert on blockchain in Turkey. 

CEMİL ŞİNASİ TÜRÜN: He is a blockchain entrepreneur. For the last 20+ years he was instrumental in building multiple digital currency projects for clients like Coca-Cola, Facebook, Turkcell and many others. Since 1995 he has been teaching in various universities of İstanbul on and about internet, technology and culture, and he is an expert on digital money systems, loyalty points and game currencies.  Currently he is a co-founder of a new blockchain start-up called Defterhane.
